Why We’re Growing Our Menswear Range at Salt & Honey

Why We’re Growing Our Menswear Range at Salt & Honey

Because the boys deserve good style too

If you’ve been popping into Salt & Honey lately, you might have noticed something new quietly taking up more space on our racks… menswear. Not fast‑fashion, not throwaway pieces — but good, everyday staples that actually last.

It’s something we’ve been building slowly and intentionally, and we thought it was time to share the why behind it.

Men’s style in small‑town NZ has been overlooked for too long

We hear it all the time in Foxton, Feilding and Hunterville:

- “There’s nowhere local to buy decent men’s clothes.”

- “Everything is either super cheap or super expensive.”

- “I just want basics that fit well and don’t fall apart.”

And honestly… they’re right. Women have endless options. Men? Not so much.

So we decided to change that.

We choose pieces that make getting dressed easy

Our menswear isn’t about trends or overthinking. It’s about:

- Clean, simple everyday tees

- Good hoodies and crews

- Jackets that work for real NZ weather

- Denim and pants that fit properly

- Colours men actually wear

Brands like Silent Theory Mens and St Goliath, hit that sweet spot of comfort, quality and price — and our customers have been loving it.

It’s also about the partners who shop for them

Let’s be honest… half the men’s range is bought by women who are tired of seeing the same old hoodie on repeat.

We see you. We hear you. We’re here for you.

Having a curated menswear section means you can grab something for him while you’re treating yourself — easy, quick, done.

We’re growing it slowly, intentionally, and with your feedback

Every piece we bring in is chosen with our community in mind. We listen to what you ask for, what sells, what doesn’t, and what gaps still exist.

This isn’t a “big launch”. It’s a steady, thoughtful build — the Salt & Honey way.

What’s coming next

Over the next few months you’ll see:

-More everyday basics

- More jackets and winter layers

- A few new brands we’re trialing

- A stronger online “For Him” section

- More size range where possible

And yes… a full men’s style guide is coming soon.
